The leaders of the rebellion get their hands on vital information - free of charge

Liberty's SHOW TRIAL was conducted that same afternoon in the big Justice Hall, with large crowds filling up the hall and many more peeking from the windows and corridors. Liberty stands there listening carefully to the judge reading the list of charges against her. At first it sounds strange: "What, are you THAT clownish? Did I do all that? Would I even have enough time if I wanted to?!"

But then, all of a sudden she gets it! THIS is the most useful stuff, the gems they needed! Because it wouldn't matter what she'd say or not say in the defense phase, if they'd even give such a phase today. And the verdict of this "fair trial" is readily known as well, isn't it? The judge's "decision" is pre-written, printed on the infamous “Statement of Claims” form.

She signals with her head to White Horizon who's standing at the other end of Justice Hall, disguised as an old man with a long white beard. He looks hilarious, this cutie, thinks Liberty. Nobody pays attention to him today as all public attention is on Liberty. The policemen are busy maintaining order in the dense crowd - everybody and his wife are trying to get a glimpse at the sensational scene. White Horizon, who's been standing and smiling until now, gets her signal and his smile vanishes. With her eyes she signals toward the judge who's reading the list of charges.

He now gets it too!!! She's trying to pull his attention not to the man himself - but to the very list of charges/verdict (here and now these things are one and the same...) - THIS IS HIGHLY INCRIMINATING STUFF - REVEALING THE EXACT CRIMES OF THE PSYCHOGRAPHS... THEY ARE READING TO US THE LIST OF THEIR OWN CRIMES!!!!!!

There was a fair lady in a long blue dress standing in front of White Horizon and he quickly pinched her behind. An unthinkable act on any normal day... Instead of a slap to his face, the "fair lady" turned her head back and you could see the surprised face of Fuad, carefully made-up and dressed up in the best lady's disguise in town. Horizon would have liked to ridicule Fuad's appearance but the time squeeze allows not even a frisky wink, any moment lost may be critical. He signals him with a quick gesture: "A pen, something that writes, quick!"

Fuad hands over a pencil that he pulled like magic out of his dress; this dude is always equipped to kill. White Horizon was already holding a notebook he borrowed from a young reporter who was standing next to him and did not dare refusing assistance to a distinguished old man. He would have offered his chair... that is, if he had one.

White Horizon started short-handing everything the judge said. From time to time he maintained eye contact with Liberty. They did not look at the judge or any other person but at each other the whole time, except for those times that White Horizon looked down to the notebook. They listened together, translated the data and thought as one. Here is the essence of actions that Liberty was accused of:

A long list of claimed crimes

Betrayed public trust.
Drugged children and hindered their development.
Destructed the values used by individuals to know right from wrong.
Created artificial, unnecessary mystery, as well as artificial life hardships, to prevent people from taking good care of their problems.
Black mouthed decent people through black propaganda.
Destroyed education. Before the day is gone there are a few more youngsters who can neither read nor write - instead of the other way around!

Oppressed religion by introducing data that slanders faith and God, and deliberately confused this subject of FAITH with the subject of KNOWING thus creating a big mess in people's minds regarding their own belief systems.
Stuck people's attention on the past rather than enable a forward look into the future.
Caused people to believe that they're unable to help themselves and that the pretended secrets about the brain and life are solely contained in the defendant's overly complicated science, far beyond the individual's reach and even more so beyond his ability to comprehend life.
Caused ethnic groups to fight each other in order to "divide and conquer" them.
Oppressed art and artists. Destroyed creativity.
Forbade folks to self-observe of truth. The truth is in the hands of experts and they will determine its details. "The truth is OUT THERE" - not in you!!!
Sadistic torture in the name of Big Science. Enforced "mental treatment." Used violent measures in education. In general, brought about a condition where VIOLENT treatment is the order of the day and the conventional method of treating any "transgression" or "disease" - whether fancied or real, light or severe - is with violence. (For that matter, "treating" someone with electric shocks and destructive drugs is also an extremely violent treatment - much more violent than a punch to his face.)
Brought about a widespread belief that a man's value is not in his ability to cause good things, but rather in his tone of skin, his set of genes and his social status. In that, the defendant did wrong to many people of goodwill and enabled crime and viciousness toward your fellow man in the name of race and social differences.
Supported drunkenness and an atmosphere where it's OK to evade reality (by developing the Resonance Sticks and inserting them stealthily into the social fabric). General enslavement of a whole population was done by marketing drugs and "drug substitutes." Cut more good people out of society and out of their families by enforced hospitalization and enforced re-education. And AT HIGH PRICE because "there's no alternative" and you must pay the price.

Caused members of society to develop habits of low productivity and the action pace of a turtle. This was done by oppressing the joy found in fast motion, through the gland and by preaching fabricated morals. By systems of financial suppression through taxing high productivity to the point of disgust while rewarding the lazy. By financing of planned unemployment, alongside punishment to anyone daring to break his unemployment status. By forbidding children and elderly alike to produce anything of great value. By encouraging TV culture that teaches you not to move off your seat, lest you lose a terribly important sneeze or even worse - the answer to the million-Galactic-Credits question: "What was the outrageous name of the outrageous half-sister of the outrageous researcher that discovered the average number of peels in an average onion?"

Enslaved the population, as a group, by (artificially and unnecessarily) dividing them into disconnected individuals - where each individual worries about his own survival and cannot see how it benefits HIM to serve others in the group. For example: convince the individual to donate considerable sums of money to the only gambling business (which is - lo and behold - government operated) in his want to win his chance at millions of Galactic Credits on account of his fellow men, not realizing that AT THE GROUP LEVEL he's being robbed in broad daylight!!! Another aspect of this was threatening the individual who cannot anymore think or act at the group level, thus feeling pushed with his back to the wall.
Covered up the truth by enforcing bad news on the media. Controlled the media by apparently legal measures: by buying them out and then forcing them to survive only through the immense financial pressure of the insane rating system. Blown up reports about incidents that won the sensational headlines of disasters, corruption scandals, etc. All this while hiding the simple truth - the immense number of DAILY successful and friendly actions!!! In that the defendant gave a bad example and contributed to the bad atmosphere that swept through the peaceful desert culture and amplified violence, betrayal and failures - and above all the unwillingness to help your fellow man.
Used all available measures and budgets allocated to her to shut people up and hide the truth about her actions and intents.
Positioned herself above the law, in a place where her CRIMES AGAINST SOCIETY ARE NOT ACCOUNTABLE UNDER THE LAW!

Just as the judge reads the last of the charges against Liberty, "In conclusion, the defendant is guilty of accusing her enemies of the same crimes she has committed herself," White Horizon burst out into suppressed laughter. He takes final quick notes and glances at Liberty. She's standing there relaxed, smiling at him. The young reporter, only now noticing the strange connection between the two, looks at White Horizon with an astonished expression. White Horizon decides that he's heard enough for today and that the predictable ending of this "fair trial" he would hear from Fuad in the Command Room. He must hurry up and get there to support any action that may be needed to release Liberty and to plan how to take the rebellion forward, with or without her.

The pencil he gives back to the "lady," the empty half of the notebook he tears off and gives back to the astonished reporter, adding wink and a smile - and vanishes like thin air into the dense crowd.

Now the puzzle is coming together

In the last few weeks before her escape from the pyramid, Liberty spent much time in learning and research. Back then she already shared her findings with her best friend - the issue with "light years" versus time, and all other things she has learned from the old leather maker and in the library. In those days Liberty discovered mere clues and partial information.

The pieces of the puzzle are coming together only now after the trial, when White Horizon brings back his notes from court and crosses them with partial data from the civil rebels and from the Blue Eye Tigers (the warriors). Only then does the horrible picture get clearer and they find out how vicious the plot.

Certain parts still require guesswork and estimation, as with the issue of Snake's franchise, who was the original developer of the gland and so forth.

But the general picture is quite clear already.
