Holy Mystery!

Mysticism in Service of Oppression

Kidnapping, torture and experimenting on humans have become routine. Additionally, artificial economic hardship and fabricated conflicts served to further suppress the hard working population and turn it into an excellent soil for growing more slaves.

Nothing like good ole’ mystery to nail anybody fast to the floor. If you check it you’ll find out that it’s also the CHEAPEST way: they’ll convince you there’s some mystery, and you do the rest of the work. In accordance with this principle, mystery was used and activated in any possible way. Take for instance, the Broken Pyramid:

Konti-Polo, or the “Broken Pyramid” in English, was pre-fabricated as a broken pyramid, or more correctly BITTEN. When you go out shepherding in the desert and you look toward home, you may contemplate its shape and get the idea that some giant creature has bitten off the top of this large pyramid. If then it is gathered that you are afraid, you get rewarded by a certain pleasant current through the gland’s feedback. Everything is monitored and statistics are collected in the Zone’s control room computers.

And so, with the courtesy of the gland, they encouraged fear of the unknown, of something you have no information about. Only THERE IS NO freaking information! You ask yourself: Who has bitten my home? Will it come back tonight? Will my children survive its terrible bite? Will I survive to see the light of day??? But you already have the answers – and they are ridiculously simple!

 
More pseudo-archeological puzzles of “historic value” were planted around, and such were the dry dragons scattered along the multi-lane road leading to the Ancient City (see map).

Even the Ancient City by itself – that nobody knew anything about other than its name: Darryn-Polo. Actually it’s not even a name but an expression in the local language, saying only ‘ancient place’ thus it’s got no special meaning and this only ADDS to the mystery: it makes no sense that such a big modern road would be paved to lead nowhere…

Into the culture infiltrated, not by mere chance, illogical rules that you may not contemplate the validity of – which is only natural to every human being, even if he’s not a born rebel. Like you were forbidden to ask out loud about the existential riddles (e.g., uniform names for the entire family) and then if you have already asked then others were not allowed to answer you other than giving you the “Shut-up & Think Punishment” (STP). Or the strange law that allows you to change your name when you reach adolescence – but it must pass the approval of the Wise Men Council; what’s the use of such “free choice?” Well you tell me…

Also forbidden was the free use of information and communications technologies, such as: photography, investigations or unlicensed private research, uncensored art, etc. Anything liable to accidentally expose the truth was somehow defined as crime against society.

Existential riddles down every hole in the map. Take the term “Moon Gate” for example. The Desert of the Dry Dragons is lit by TWO suns – but never a single moon in sight! There happens to be no such thing in this particular solar system. Such a term is liable to make you think: “I’m the dummy here that misses out on something important...”

There’s more. Instead of saying ‘years’ they trained you to refer to years as ‘light-years.’ But the real term (see WikiPedia) actually means the DISTANCE that light passes in a year; it has the word 'years' but it’s not a time unit! This confuses you and you’re sucked once more into the “I’m the idiot” trap.

Many, or actually most all enterprises of independent thinking, were private enterprises of individuals, not movements under the leadership of this or that person. For instance, the discovery that the dry dragons were nothing but  electrified dummies, was made by dynamic youngsters who got interested from time to time and found out on their own. In the extreme they MADE UP THEIR OWN MINDS and gathered a tiny group in order to escape the pyramid and march along the road, cloaked by the dark of night.

For entertainment and challenge, these teenagers would blow up dragons by throwing metal sticks at them, while hiding behind the road’s guardrail.

Although these were all private gatherings, these youngsters were always accused as belonging to the dangerous subversive cult “The Dragon Slayers” supposedly planning to convert everybody else to Dragon Slayers. Gay Trenzich invented this cult story in order to condemn beforehand any potential attempt to establish such rebel opposition. The dedicated scientist also made sure to publish giant warning ads about this, and warned local religious leaders of any activity of the Dragon Slayers – “the most dangerous cult in the history of the desert.”

Additional Factors of Mystery and Suppression

The Psychographs were very busy cutting off communication between the people themselves, in any way they saw fit. This served their purposes in two major ways:

1. Deepening the mystery and lack of knowledge served to conceal the goals of the snake and his scientists.
   
   
2. On top of that, there was also abuse for the sake of abuse, under the guise of “scientific” experiment, technological progress for Imperial benefits, and financial profits.

At this point it is important to stress: Snake’s mercenaries (mostly from Snake Planet) acted under threat to their lives and the lives of their families back home. But the Psychographs and Billy G. acted their actions VOLUNTARILY. Yes, they did get salaries and good living conditions and all, but they did not have to serve Poison Snakes, or any of his lot for that matter.

They took very doubtful “professional satisfaction” out of the experiment, because it answered their deep dark needs to harm their fellowman – if possible under the guise of help, and even more so for a fat salary…

The story of the Holy and Irreplaceable Body

Another suppression factor through mystery, or more correctly REVERSAL OF IMPORTANCE was this:

The Psychographs gradually turned the body to a sacred object, more important than the spirit and interpersonal relationships. They turned the BRAIN (a mere organ) into a basic characteristic of the individual. Which meant, you’re stuck with your brain with no escape. 

“You are also stuck with your body and there will never be any replacement, ever. When the body is gone – you’re finished just as well.”

This is not only a lie – it is a rude and despicable lie! It pushes you into the sticky mud of “no way out.”

The Story of Evil

The Psychographs, with the help of religious leaders, convinced the people that they were basically evil. In the initial stages of the experiment it has become obvious to the scientists that they wouldn’t be able to do this through the gland alone. Not with the current model anyway. Therefore they forwarded this purpose by continual destruction of moral values, and above all the moral value of using your own mind and common sense.

People got used to perform acts that they do not think to be proper or good for them – and so it became easy to convince them they were basically bad. This was done with endless sermons that were accusative and degrading to the listener. They attacked cream pie fights, blasting off dry dragons, “silly” dancing, interracial and interclass romance, or even... children behaving like children!!!!!

In fact, most everything that was good and positive was attached WITH trivial commandments such as “Do Not Murder.” In this salad it was very hard to know right from wrong, and almost anything you really wanted to do – violated some law or authority.

The Story of the Prize for Laziness

The Psychographs gave you a prize if you only agreed to be a quiet and lousy obedient, such who would not move or get in anyone’s way. Lifetime pension if you agreed to be a “professional job seeker” and turn away any job offer. But each one!! The pension was given free out of a deep-pocket fund, which was being funded by the Zone Treasury (which, in turn, came out of the Royal budget stolen from Gay Kucken).

However, the conditions were tough: YOU MUST NOT WORK! Your gland would be monitored directly to the control center, and measure your general morale. The (true) assumption was that if your moral rose and you’re happy, then you must have chosen something productive or worthwhile, or that you have answered some job offer, even if voluntarily. Immediately you’ll be sent a painful feedback as punishment. If this goes on for awhile or occurs several times acutely, the person who is on such a contract is sent to re-education in the Zone.

The Story of Modern Language

From all this education per the principles of Psychography, some of its terms have turned colloquial amongst the pyramid tribes. Examples were many; here are a few highlights:
